Another Step Towards Increased Circularity – Kappahl Group Launches Second-Hand Service Online
Kappahl Group continues to expand its second-hand offering through a newly established partnership with the innovative consumer-to-consumer (C2C) platform reCRQL. Customers in Sweden can now easily resell their previously purchased Kappahl garments, giving them a new life in someone else’s wardrobe. The service applies to the entire range and all brands within the Kappahl Group.
Through reCRQL’s platform, Kappahl customers can sell their used clothing and buy second-hand items directly from other users online. This initiative supports Kappahl Group’s goal of reducing textile waste and promoting clothing reuse, which is a crucial part of the company’s sustainability strategy.
“The collaboration marks an important step in our circular transformation journey, where we continue to explore new circular business models to inspire and support our customers in recirculating their Kappahl garments to new users. By broadening our second-hand offering, we make it even easier for our customers to extend the life of their Kappahl pieces—one of the most effective measures to reduce the negative climate impact of textiles,” says Viktoria Arndt, Business Development Manager at Kappahl Group.
By integrating reCRQL’s platform into Kappahl’s offering, customers can circulate their garments online. The user-friendly platform enables customers to create listings with Kappahl’s own product images, descriptions, and automatically suggested pricing. Additionally, members of Kappahl’s customer club have access to their purchase history, making it easier to resell previously bought items. The service is available for the entire Kappahl Group assortment, including women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, as well as all brands under the Kappahl Group umbrella.
